Walk, ride or meander...

There are 34 kilometres of the Timboon to Camperdown Rail Trail to enjoy.
Ideal for walking, bike and horse riding. Framed by open grassland and tree
ferns, you can enjoy scenic views and quiet remnant forest, heathland with an
abundance of native flora and fauna.

On the trail you can see native flora such as Gum trees, blackwoods, woolly tea
trees, messmates, tree ferns and cherry ballart. While native wildlife includes
koalas, kangaroos, birds, sugar glider possums and habitat for the Powerful
Owl. A generous donation by mining company BHP has meant that new trail
restoration works are being completed to consolidate the entire Timboon to
Camperdown Rail Trail.

The first section which is an easy flat 3km walk begins at the Timboon Railway
Shed Distillery and ends at the National Trust listed Curdie’s River Trestle
Bridge. Individuals and groups alike are encouraged to take advantage of this
beautiful walking track that is both scenic and educational.
